The LORD put a word in my heart yesterday:
I thought i would share it with you.
Matthew 18: 8 Wherefore if thy hand or they foot offend (cause thee to sin) thee, cut them off, it is better for thee to enter into life halt, or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be CAST INTO EVERLASTING FIRE.
1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love [of God], because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren
I have always found the words of Matthew 18:8 hard to accept or even understand.. Why in the world would a Christian "cut a way a part of our body" I know there are many ways this could be interpreted, but yesterday I did have a bit of a revelation on it.
IF there are things in our lives that is causing us to have
THE SIN OF OMISSION:. • an omitting or being omitted; specif., failure to do as one should ;
Anything that is hampering OUR CALLING needs to be "cut off" from our life. It isn't unnecessarily about what the world or other brothers and sister may think is sin in our life.
But it is about OUR own conscience. Are there things in our lives that are prohibiting us from service. For conscience sake we feel quilt or condemned or worse yet, fear condemnation from others. Then it MUST be Cut off.
To cut a hand or foot off of our lives sounds very painful. I totally understand that. It was Painful for Christ to go to the cross too.
Something else the LORD brought to my mind. The enemy is using this "stronghold of the mind and flesh" to prevent US from serving the LORD. As long as he can keep you in quilt and condemnation of oneself, you will be unable to do anything productive for the LORD.
To be of service WE must become Overcomer's. Don't be one that "omits" their call for the simple pleasures in life. The Lord JESUS is calling us out to be HIS servant in these last days.
be bold and encouraged. The LORD is going to do great things among us in these last days.. For HIS name sake.
Come before HIM today and ask, what have I held on to that has caused me to OMIT my calling, LORD what is in my heart, reveal it and help me to find repentance. I Pray that YOU give me HOLY LIPS,a PURE hearts and CLEAN Hands before you. That I may be YOUR servant in these last days. Amen.
For each one it may be different. Find your answers in Worship of the LORD or from your conscience. Examples: lust, wealth, unhealthy habits, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness.. etc.
Find someone you trust and can pray with, "come into agreement" that We will "lay down" whatever the LORD has called us to "EMPTY OUT" so HE can fill.
Matt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
I pray that world would help you as it has helped me to move forward in the work the LORD has put my hands to.
