You're asking about IHOP errors...
The IHOP errors are many but here's one: CENTERING PRAYER, Artur. Google it. But to make this easier to understand, google "centering prayer" and "transcendental meditation"
You could even google 'centering prayer' and 'occult'. It's like right there on the page.

Artur, that is only ONE. Centering prayer is New Age. Yes, you're "feeling" and "hearing" (god?) that's what they all claim who do it, Artur. The only problem is that the person they are 'hearing' and the person they are 'feeling' when they do the centering prayer (which is TM) is not God. So who would that person they're feeling and hearing be, Artur?

I am only discussing this as was told to me by a former IHOP staff member - who did take part in this and did repent.

I've had an IHOP person or two throw that in my face before about ..anyone who does not hate their mother or their father... to which I add blah, blah, blah. Because the way I've been dissed by my own flesh and blood does in NO way line up with the word of God.

Actually what it does do is cause me to SEE the fruit coming out of IHOP that much easier. The stinking, rotten fruit. Because I don't care who the ministry says they're about, if they are openly giving their people the thumbs up on DIShonoring their parents, then they are NOT a ministry after God's own heart.
And that scripture that notes anyone who doesn't hate their mother or their father needs to be taken IN CONTEXT. It is talking about someone who "pulls back" from going with God in their following Him. It is NOT talking about cutting off communication with family. It is NOT talking about what my own kid is doing with me. What's happening to me? I don't view Mike Bickle, Allen Hood and others as the 'end all' for what God's doing in this world. I don't take every word they say as having come directly from the throne room. They have no place of "awe" in my way of thinking. And why? Because I fully believe they are teaching error to the nth degree.

Why is it that the IHOP lovers cannot stand those "on the outside" - the ones who "only pray" or "only go to church" or "only read their Bibles" or "only witness".. the ones who aren't "growing in 'the' prophetic" <--I still laugh at that one since there is NO "growing in THE prophetic" in my Bible. Why is it that IHOPpers dislike outsiders? Because that is the MIND MENTALITY that is being brought forth in the various teachings.

The other thing is what IHOP does to people within it who begin to disagree with the teachings.. The ones who blatently disagree are kicked out. (No, no, no, SadParent, you're wrong!) I know this because I have BEEN CONTACTED by former IHOP staff members who have been kicked out after the Lord opened their eyes to the deception AND they told others about the error the LORD had showed them.

I sound mad? You're darn right. Satan has used IHOP to his benefit for too long and I would like to see the scales fall right off MIKE BICKLE and ALLEN HOOD's eyes. I'd would expecially like to see the scales fall off my own son's eyes. Yeah, I'm pretty unhappy about this. After all, today marks 18 MONTHS of NOT hearing from my own son. That shouldn't happen to anyone. I don't care who you are. That is just wrong.

You're right. Many do stick their fingers in their ears saying, "la la la la" when their "prophet" misses the mark. But let us not for a moment forget that these may only be junior prophets! According to IHOP, people "grow in the prophetic" which would account for their prophecies never needing to be 100% correct.

I have asked and asked and asked anyone from IHOP please tell me where "growing in the prophetic" is located in the Bible. If you'll show me, I'll believe it's possible.

Bianca, I just want to commend you on sticking to the truth of the Gospel of Christ, I was blesses in reading your words to Aurthur, and others who are being led away from the truth,as you said, just a little poison in the water is deadly, we cannot compromise on the word of God. I pray more like you would share the true gospel, and lead others following these false teachers to the living water found in the Word Of God.

I just read the post about a parent's son who was advised to not communicate with his parents for at least one year.... Well I understand completely what you are going through. I was a member of the Vineyard Church 30 years ago, actually before the split, and The Vineyard was started. I traveled with John Wimber and helped start many churches on the eastcoast. I loved The Vineyard at that time and believed in their teachings. My husband and I raised our children in Non-Denominational schools throughout the southeast and both children were saved and loved the Lord.

When our son ,Ben spent one semester at a MAC college and came home for winter break and begged us to let him drop out and go to IHOP for 6 months or so, we supported him, and in talking with other parents in our community that had been out in KC for the New Years Eve conference, they felt it was a good idea.

After he left, all communication with him stopped....I tried to contact him and was unable to talk with him...My husband went and visited him and felt there was nothing wrong with the choice he had made...though at that time I had separated from my husband and he was not involved in church or fellowship. I finally got ahold of my son and he told me that he was instructed to not have contact with me for at least 8-10 years!!!!!

It's been 2 years now, and I have yet to hear from him...He has recently left K.C., I.H.O.P., and moved to Dallas but I still have no communication from him!!! I also read that IHOP is in Dallas? Is that true???? Why would any church that claims to serve Jesus Christ, tell or (possibly brainwash?) our children into not obeying one of The Ten Commandments, ie; Honor Thy Mother & Father for your days will be long upon this earth!!! I love my son and I love My Lord, Jesus Christ, but my spirit tells me something isn't right with their counsel, doctrine & teachings!!!!!

I need prayer to help get through this unbelievable lack of communication with my son. We were so close and it is killing me to not be in his life or know what he looks like, etc. I have had severe depression due to this and don't know who to turn to at this time...Please help and I pray that no other Mother or Father will have to endure the pain and heartbreak I have had to carry and possibly carry for the next 6 to 8 years!!!!
