According to the Word of our Lord,we can even stand to get our "lamp stands"taken away for listening passively to false teachings & prophecy ( Rev 2:20 ). SUPER OUCH !!! This isn't a matter we can just brush of and take passively,we become guilty as sin for our tolerance ! In the scripture I just mentioned ( again... ),Jezebel got her share from God but so would the church in Thyatira if they kept on tolerating her teachings. The passage is crystal clear,no room to find a tolerance loop hole....Kids this is a VERY serious matter according to our Lord.It's like being a witness to a murder and not only NOT attempting to stop it,but walking away and fellowshipping with the murderer as if nothing happened. "Food sacrificed to idols"means false teachings and prophecy.It KILLS the people who "eat"it.Like poisoned bread and wine,these counterfeit churches,poison many straight in to the pit. So,ATTEMPT lovingly at all cost to call all who will listen to the TRUTH and if they don't listen the Lord said to "wipe the dust off our feet" and leave...By our mere silent participation we become guilty and besides that is NOT brotherly love to let someone sing their way in to hell....Ezekiel 3:17 Folks...Hard One ! No popularity contest to be won when we take up our crosses a follow the Lord Jesus.

Registered Member Posts: 1 (04/12/08 10:08 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	yes, i would have to agree with Artur on that one. i find it fascinating that there's so much on the internet slandering ihop. i had do idea until my pastor informed me. about three years ago, i had no idea who mike bickle was and what ihop was about. then someone told me about their yearly onething conferences. i knew i had to go. from there, i heard about their young adult internship. i knew i had to go. so, i was at ihop for 6 months and now i'm back at home working and ministering at my home church. i have seen some of the accusations on the web and just have to say that they're not true. i'm not saying that ihop is perfect- it has its issues like any church, but i can say with certainty that the message of ihop is more biblically based than any religious organization i have ever been a part of. i'll admit, there was some teaching of which i was skeptical to take in, but i decided not to throw out the baby with the bathwater because the work of the Holy Spirit was evident there: i was surrounded by people who loved the Lord and modeled the Sermon on the Mount lifestyle. now almost a year and a half removed from ihop, having done my own reading from early and modern Christian-thinkers alike, i have noticed that my perspective on the Bible has changed. much of the teaching i was skeptical about before now makes perfect sense. what i admired most about ihop is their leadership. in those short months that i was there, i encountered real accountability, one that i want to model for the children and youth that i work with at my home church. the leaders were not afraid to admit when they were wrong and also had a knack to call us on our sins in a loving way. it was as if we were all spurring each other towards holiness. sadparent- i find it hard to believe that someone from leadership would encourage your son to break off communication with you. i would encourage you to keep trying to communicate with him and the leadership at ihop.

I don't think any of us can convince you to stop following IHOP doctrine and you can't convince any of us to follow your path either,so much has been said and many scriptures have been passed...I think we all need to focus on the Word of God on the whole matter.No man (myself included ) or church died for my sins or bled on a cross for me,so it's His approval and acceptance I want and need. We have plenty to do in this world as followers of Christ other than to discus mega churches to the point of strife and uselessness.Begging God for unity and love for one another would be a good start. I don't think calling "sadparent" a liar is a great start.I guess you never lost a child and I pray to the Lord you never will.It's a very painful,shocking and horrible burden to have.I don't wish for anybody to go through being rejected by one of your own kids (sadparent must be feeling a little of what the Lord feels each day...).Mercy is a good trait to have as a child of God.

I appreciate deeply your points. I belive that: prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. (1 Kor.14.29). We should do it plural. I preffer weigh carefully prophesy than to judge quickly a prophet, because first every prophet false or tru will be judged by The Lord very severly. As it is written according unfaithful: I will depose you from your office, and you will be ousted from your position. Is. 22,19 Lord give us your grace to be always faithful to You. Registered Member Posts: 175 (04/13/08 04:14 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Dear Artur, To further keep up with what our dear Steve wrote.I went as the Lord led me to a page to further my research on the matter.I don't want to be found guilty of bringing slander to the name of anybody,it's very serious.So I would tell you ( as the Lord allows..) to do some historical research ) go Google )on the "Kansas City Prophets",which are the people who started and now run IHOP ( Mike Bickle as head man ).The hair on my head rose up quite a bit.....You find extensive quotes and literature from their own mouths and "ministries"...WOW ! The saddest part of it all is that many of them started out good with God but along the way,maybe power of pride became their downfall.A good awakening for me at least about begging for humbleness and obedience.Fear of the Lord keeps one safe,I know I pray for it regularly and need a bounch of it. John 15:5 We are rebelious by nature. You have in your nation many prophets. One of them was William Branham, prophet of many miracles. Today church would say that he spoke among his good words and teachings wrong ones as well. Let's look at The Lord, the bigest Prophet who is the author and finisher of our faith. Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like you are being real careful to not make a clear stand, but to use whatever scripture you can so as to not make any clear decision or judgment. Please note that indifference is not an option - we either obey God or we do not; light or darkness, etc. Keep seeking God, listening & obeying Him. Love, steve

Registered Member Posts: 175 (04/13/08 07:52 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Dear Artur, Yeah,one thing this nation has,like ancient Israel are false prophets.People pay good money to read their books,go to their "shows"and buy their CD's.They pay out vast sums of money to go to their "schools",only to assure themselves a fast ticket to hell in sooo many cases.You can't turn a corner without some smiling shinny mega pastor shouting out hellish doctrines.We have christian vacation packages to exotic islands,concerts all over the nation,christian T.V shows with every flavor known to man and even a Jesus amusement park like Disney Land.What can I say...It's big business.lot's of money to be made of Jesus...At least in the O.T.they had the decency to call it baal worship,now the name is Christianity.Very Revelation 17.People like me are just the "joy kills"who shout out in the desert.I bother many people by saying such politically incorrect words like"repent,sin,fear of the Lord,read your bible not some books,don't store up for yourself treasures on earth and I trust the Lord blindly...."Even my christian family members call me stuff at times because I go against what the books they buy and read say...Do I care? Yes,but not about the insults or discomfort,but about their eternal lives.I'm not here to be tolerant to error and doctrines of demons but to love them in to the arms of Jesus. I may not have a diploma or certificate of theology,I don't buy or read "christian"literature,I don't "belong" to any man or mind frame,but to the Lord Jesus Christ.I don't go to church on Sunday ( I'm not saying it's bad to do for some,depending on what church..),but I fellowship with the Body of Christ everyday.I ONLY read my Bible feverishly daily and rearely papers about Scripture but very sporadicly.I need no interpretation on what christians should say or do from nobody,but wait on the Holy Spirit for everything with fear and trembling.I guess I'm a simpleton and took that scripture in Jeremiah 17:5 as a lifestyle. I'm no better than anyone with only one difference from many,I know I'm no good and much,so I depend and live by the mercy of the Lord day by day.Apart from Him I am NOTHING,just a wretched woman like the rest,with nothing to offer but sin.I'm neighter smart,wise or cleaver,but my Father is and that's good enough for me. I am also opened what someone has to say always holding this lamp in my hand because I belive church is the body and I am not alone. I can not say this or that is hellish doctrine until I am available to hear it. If am doing it I do very very carefull, because if he or she will change and I condemned them for "amen" I am going to be fool. Do you consider that as long as people are on this earth they can change themself by faith in God's word ? In such case they will go to Heaven but in my head they will go to Hell and I am out of the reality. I would like to see church to be like in the book of Acts in the Bible. Bible warns us : If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. Gal.5.15 By the way I like your zeal. Artur

Please dont misunderstand me, its not about what "I" want you to say, but rather in finding out of the many false prophecies & their continued promotion by IHOP do you have the answers to original post questions? Your initial post was really "pro" IHOP and it didnt seem like you tested their fruit (something that I have done in the past too - however I could wrong). I guess I am wondering what your stance is on IHOP now is, in light of testing what they teach & promote. If you follow God & His word, that means you dont follow those who give false prophecies & ignore His correction? Perhaps I am the one who not seeing this clearly - perhaps a simple "yes" or "no" will help me out. Please know I am not being mean or divisive, just honestly seeking a simple answer. Love, steve

Registered Member Posts: 175 (04/14/08 12:50 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Dear Brothers, The piles of evidence regarding IHOP ( and many others sadly ) is staggering when put next to the Word of God.I don't think there is anymore to be said.Steve and I have done our job and homework on the issue ( bibles in hand ) and presented a strong and honest case.As I've said before,I have NOTHING to gain by this whole mess but to be right in God's eyes.This can only be achieved by following His Word exclusively ! Dear Steve, We presented the facts and we brought witness to His Word.This is all that we are required to do,to present the case and get out of the way...I will tell you what God told me a little while back regarding a similar matter,He said "you just go and speak my Word ( as it is written ),then get out of the way because it's MY job to convict their heart !" See what that means is that it's now up to the Spirit of our Lord to do the rest. We are only called to "bear witness to the TRUTH",we can do no more brother. Great job though ! I am far from your country and from Kansas City and I have not heard prophecies spoken by people from IHOP. I may see transmision from their prayer room. That is all. I know that thay pray and worship the Lord 24/7. I would like to know some specific prophecies they spoke. By the way do they do good when they pray and worship the Lord by His word for your country, against abortion and stuff like that ? Are they totally evil for you ? I'm sure that if one seeks Truth ,the Lord will lead you to it.There are many places available on the net today to find knowledge on a great deal of subjects ( churches,places,people etc...).Put them next to Scripture and listen for God's voice.. I for one (the Lord knows) am very curious by nature and like Ezekiel in his book ch.8:7-8,I like to "dig into the wall"and search ( test ) all things concerning Truth.Many times while I "dig"I find things that make me come to tears.It's part of the whole discernament process,it hurts badly at times.When I encounter churches or people who I thought were serving God,but in the Light are self serving or worse,I get very disappointed and sad,it breaks my heart ! Sometimes the Lord asks "still digging,still want to ?"I say "yes"because I want to know the FULL measure of His will,not just some man made version of Him.Still,the pain is bad,it stings like no tomorrow,especially when people you love or yourself are involved in something that is not pleasing to God. I have all the faith that "the Spirit will guide you in ALL truth",He always does when I ask Him to.If you,like Ezekiel and many after him,want Truth,Jesus will guide you to it !
